Movie Night: Migrant Dreams

Wednesday February 27, 2019 6-8pm

@The Seasoned Spoon Cafe

Join the Spoon, OPIRG and Trent Film society for a Cinema Politica screening of Migrant Dreams.

Migrant Dreams is a powerful film depicting the struggles of migrant agricultural workers in Canada’s Temporary Foreign Worker program and their journey of resistance against injustice. Hear the often-untold story of exploited foreigners and their experience as modern-day indentured labourers in Canada. Learn about the dark underbelly of Canada’s food system and the lives of those you never knew were bringing you your food.

There will be popcorn and drinks!

Film provided by OPIRG Peterborough and Cinema Politica. Donation will be accepted to help cover costs of the evening.
